New Beginning. . . .

A few years ago, I had a blog and used it to document my progress with my "Works in Progress." The idea was that I would actually finish projects if I shared them. Well, I finished some; but, gosh. . .there are so many cool patterns, designs and techniques out there that I keep STARTING new projects before I can complete the ones I am working on at any given time!!! Hence, the name of this blog. . ."On Going Projects!"

The site for my old blog shut down and sadly, I wasn't able to save what I wrote. So this is a new beginning. One of my goals is to make some parts along the way like these six inch sawtooth stars and to use those parts in a project. (Some of the fabrics in these stars came from fabrics used in a project about 1996!)

A bonus is having a leader/ender project while piecing a project. I learned this from Bonnie Hunter's blog. Bonnie is also amazing about using up EVERYTHING. So the leader/ender project below are the "trimmings" from the star points that I made above! Talk about no waste!!!

Finally, my three year old granddaughter and I have been using up some "strings" and making these String Geese. I'm not sure where we are going with these; but for now, when she feels like sewing, sometimes we make these:

So, I hope you will join me as I learn how to operate this blog site. Please, share my journey as I explore various quilting techniques. Come and celebrate my finishes with me!
