| Quilting design |
This project is the
back that became a front! I'm glad it did. Becoming a front meant I needed to piece a back for the challenge and a
back for this project! The Gresham Senior Center longarmed it. The pantograph pattern is Botanical Blossoms.
 |
| Green binding |
I used a different green for the binding as I didn't have enough left of what I had used in the front. I like the added depth of dimension the binding added.
 |
| Label |
The label came from the guild free table long ago, I've been using the free table labels when I can figure out how best to use them! This time, I added the information I wanted to include around the preprinted information.
 |
| Hand stitching the sleeve |
I did have to piece the sleeve as I was about two inches short of having a piece of fabric wide enough! The pieced part is next to the quilt so it appears the sleeve is all one fabric. Shhhh. . .we will keep that piecing fact between us!
 |
| Finished back |
The handwork on this project was to close the corners of the binding, attach the label and sleeve. I machine stitched the binding to this project.

| Close up of quilting from front |
In no time, I had another finish! This is the fourth finish of the year! It was goal number two on my April
list. This project meets goal number three on my annual
list. I used 11 yards of fabric in this project. I've used 30 yards of stash this month! Hooray!!!

| Finished front |
I have another finish to share with
Finished or not Friday,
Quilting and Patchwork, and Slow Stitching. Since there is a measurable amount of pink in this project which is the Rainbow Scrap Challenge color this month, I'll link up with
So Scrappy too.

You are doing good with finishing!
I love that your pieced backing became its own quilt, Terry! The pinks, greens, and oranges are a happy combination. Great back8ng, too. Congratulations on your finish!
This " back" certainly needed to be a front. Did Gertie give you that suggestion? LOL Your quilt is so beautiful , Terry. You are amazing at creating the most fun designs and layouts. The quilting is gorgeous. I really like the label too. Woo Hoo on getting it from the free table! I wish you a lovely and blessed day. Hugs.
This was a fun project to watch come together. From a back to a front and main attraction. It finished beautifully. Congratulations, Terry!
Thank you so much for sharing your process! I love how you use every bit of fabric that you can. So glad to have found your blog!
So fun that the back became a featured top, Terry! Love that pantograph. You put so much into your labels. 👏👏👏 And do I see some Lil' Algorithm blocks in there? I'm making about 220 of those Lil' Algorithm blocks myself right now...
I am glad you used that back as a front too - thats a great one!!
Congratulations on a fun and funky quilt finish, Terry!!
What a great idea that turned into an awesome quilt! I love the info you included on your label!
Oh I love this quilt, the back that became the front, the new back, the binding, the quilting, the secret about the sleeve ;)) Thank you for sharing this fun and inspiring project and linking up!
The quilt front is much too lovely to be a backing. A gorgeous quilt finish brimming with colour, fabulous design and ingenuity. Of course the quilting adds to the beauty. Four quilt finishes thus far, this year. Are you sure you don't have little elves hidden away?? =)
